Paint Party Friday - Scattered

It's another Paint Party Friday!  Here's a bit of what I worked on this week:

I worked on a spread from the Doodles Unleashed Workshop...

I played with Carla Sonheim's Imaginary Animals technique.  It needs more shading...

And I started a textured landscape canvas painting, using acrylics. This 5 x 5 x 2 inches, and is embedded with dried lavender buds. After the first applications of paint, I can see I'm going to need to do a lot more "poking" of the brush into the crevices. :)

I've determined that I have too many things going on all at once. No wonder I'm feeling a bit scattered. :)

See what others are doing for their Paint Party Friday here

I like your pieces Helen. I like the way you've embedded the buds. All are wonderful and like you said, you have many things going on, good things. Thanks for sharing. Happy PPF!

I love what you're doing with doodles unleashed. I haven't even been paying attention to Strathmore.

The landscape reminds me of a field where a flock of birds have just flown up and out of their hiding places, spooked by something, an animal or maybe you or I.
It is beautiful!

I live scattered, but isn't it fun (once it's done!) lol I love all the pieces, specially the doodle with all the patterns, so much fun!

I think it's ok to be scattered, but maybe keep it down to 5 or 6 or you may not get them completed, but you know, maybe they don't have to be anyway, it's all looking good & like you're having fun too!

that is a seriously cool idea to paint over the lavender buds. I love the way that looks. the traci bautista class was so much fun and i've loved seeing the way so many different people have interpreted it!

I think it's cool with all the variety, but also stressful, if you loose your focus. Anyway, your work looks fun and interesting! <3

Lovely works. How nice to use lavender blossoms! Are there enough in there for the aroma to be there too?

I love the rich colors in your doodles. I think it turns your doodles into more than "just doodles" if that makes sense. I'm a huge fan of doodling. I'm also famous for having about 10 different pieces going at once. So I see no need for you to change a thing!!

The Doodles are excellent. . many of us have more than one painting in the wings, don't think of it as scattered. . . the pups looks like fun and I look forward to see how the landscape turns out. Blessings, Janet PPF
