Fabulous! Our owl was in the tree right outside my window last night, calling for all he was worth. I could see his silhouette in the moonlight, and it looked just like this.
I couldn't resist enlarging it... and i am glad i did. Not only are the colours and composition beautiful but I texture and line makes a lovely pattern. You might like to share your work on Mandarin Orange Monday too:)

This is lovely. I like the hints of light on the branch and the color of the moon influencing the owl's feathers. He is so real looking. Nice job!
