A mothers lament

Worn out from caring
Needing one who understands
A mothers lament

There are times when dealing with a disabled child is too much. There is little to no support, regardless of all the "touted" programs. It's a struggle to get help. There are no easy answers. I am so tired right now.

I know there ARE blessings involved as well. I'm doing my best to focus on the blessings. But sometimes... I want to go hide in the woods and have natures energy restore me.

Linking with Rebecca's Haiku My Heart today.

Very powerful haiku ~ (A Creative Harbor) ^_^

I think as a Mother ~ all mother's feel like they 'want to run away' at different times ~ and with a special needs child ~ it must be that much harder ~ I wonder if you have anyone to call on to provide respite for you? When I worked as a therapist ~ there were agencies did provided needed respite ~ Forgive me if I have over stepped my boundaries ~ you probably are doing fine and haiku was a way to release feelings ~ but if you need to 'talk' ~ just let me know ~ lots of healing hugs to you and your family. (A Creative Harbor)^_^

Sending peace and blessings your way. Hope you can find that peaceful place within yourself, so you can rest.

And that, my dear, is the best place for your soul to be. There is no judgement and no false pretense in the arms of nature, only the willingness to let what is be and in that, there can be no wrong.
Peace~

As a teacher of disabled children, I think I understand just a bit of what you are going through. Just a bit.

Sometimes caregivers need to have a bit of care themselves. Self-care! So you can see the blessings again! Sending you virtual haiku hugs from the heart. May you get some peaceful r&r .
