Textured Seascape

Working on too many things... but this is one I'd like to share with my friends at Paint Party Friday, hosted by Eva and Kristin.

This is an 8 x 8 inch canvas, textured with molding paste, painted with acrylic paints and embellished with lace, threads, papers and buttons. Not all pieces are firmly glued down yet, I'm still playing around with the layout.

I've worked on a few other textured landscapes this week... more on those later.

Thanks for stopping by!

Be sure to check out what the wonderful PPF artists have created this week!

Your landscapes are always so calming and peaceful- I couldn't ever do them- it seems they take a moment to do but I bet they take ages and ages. Happy PPF to you dear friend.

Oh wow!!! It took me a second to realize that the flowers were buttons and lace. I love this.

Hi Helen. I'm finding this piece very interesting. It's like the buttons are on their way uphill. I love what you've done with the clouds. Lots of texture here. Very nice helen, I like it a lot. Have a great weekend and thanks.
Happy PPF!

Beautiful, Helen! It is the texture actually that I really like, the landscape gets depth by that. Very beautifully done, and I'd like to see more of your textured landscapes.

I love that you are using fabric (lace and buttons too) for your mixed media. As a sewer it is always interesting (and turnes out great) when integrating different venues/values. Blessings, Janet PPF
