What's in my Studio - crocus

Crocus sketch in progress
I was totally inspired by this "Last Words" page from a regular magazine I get from our local Food Co-op. We only have a few crocus in the yard this year after re-doing some of the garden beds last year. We added raised beds over the garden where a lot of my crocus formerly resided. Even though we transplanted a lot of the bulbs, very few have shown their little heads. I'll be re-planting come next fall.

I'm still in the clean the office and studio re-organization mode. And becoming a bit despondent with the lack of progress. How the heck did I get so much crap, I want to know? I'm at the point where I'm going to box some of it up to get it out of my sight, and will tackle it again later. Anyone have suggestions, other than chucking the lot into the garbage bin? *grin*
(I do have the toss, donate and keep boxes going strong, but it's sorting the keep that's undoing me.)

In other news, it's almost been warm here. Well, if you call 50 degrees with a bit of sunshine warm. It's not as cold as it was, so that's improvement. And I noticed this weekend that the Oregon Grape in the front yard has buds!  They are one of the first blooming native flowers and the hummingbirds flock to them. Spring is coming! Yay!

Hi Helen, Happy WOYWW. No real hints from me on how to organised the stuff you collect...but I'm discovering that after my big rearrange/cleanup last month I'm using more of my stuff that is in front of me, handy not hidden away in my cupboard, I forget about stuff that's not in plain sight.I still do have a lot of gear that sadly I don't use very often and am trying really hard not to buy more. Love that its spring, autumn here, nice weather and yes the birds are about. Cheers have a great week Robyno#24

It has to get bad before it can get better, so keep plugging at it and be ruthless. Ok says the person with the most stuff (Yes I am bad) Love those berries popping their beautiful head, is it on a holly bush? Thanks for sharing this week.

Chin up you will get there.

Happy WOYWW

It's lovely to see a bit of spring in the air isn't it. Our crocuses have just been getting to their best. Your drawing of them is beautiful.
Sorting and reorganising is a nightmare isn't it. I'm terrible at getting rid of stuff. Good Luck with it all.

I totally understand..the sorting is the issue. But give yourself permission to do it in bursts in between being creative..otherwise you'll just never finish because you feel like it hads to be done before you can do other stuff and then you end up thinking you'd rather not...or is that just me! I suspect that your crocuses will come back, they just need to resettle. But you can't have too many can you!

I love crocuses - they are such a lovely indication of spring - your drawing is looking good so far.
I seem to spend my whole life sorting, tidying and re-locating all my 'stuff' - you have my sympathies!
