Morning solitude

Morning Solitude
Trees alive with singing birds
Nature rests my soul

I love wandering the garden in the early morning when the yard is alive with birds, chirping and flitting about the trees. It's a restful sound.
Our hybrid spirea is in it's glory; the lovely chartreuse leaves make a gorgeous setting for the bright pink blossoms. This morning I see hearts among the bright colors.

Our wild strawberries are ready to eat. I am pleasantly surprised that the birds have left us some; they've been devouring the Salmonberries!

And joy of joys, the mondarda (bee balm) is starting to bloom.

Wishing you a wonderful day!

Oh how I love Bee balm. Took mine up as I overran everything. Just need to put it in a different place. You remind how much I loved it and must get busy to replace it. I too love the early morning watering ritual.

Oh Helen, you've reminded me to go check the strawberry plants to see if there are some tasty morsels ready to pick. The bee balm is gorgeous, by the way.

I take a tour of my gardens every morning and record changes for my garden journal along with photos. Right now it is looking kind of neglected due to the extreme heat we are having...even though I try and stay with a Florida friendly yard.

Your Haiku is perfect - I love morning solitude with the birds and trees, just me and nature ... sigh.

I see your cute hearts - they sure do stand out against those leaves!

I see butterflies on the hybrid spirea. Florescent pink butterflies.

Hi Helen. What a wonderful Haiku. You are my kind of person, a plant loving person. I too love the morning when it is brisk and the birds are singing their songs. I'll have to do a short video of my backyard again. It's always fun. Nice post as always. Take care.

If there were no natural world, just think how frazzled our souls would be!

A beautiful haiku to go with the beautiful garden. I felt the peacefulness of that morning walk. Very nice.

Wild raspberries with their prickly canes are suddenly full-grown from nowhere in the middle of my ornamental juniper shrub. Can't reach them without trampling the juniper -- the mysteries of gardening elude and goad me, unlike your lovely garden of solitude :)

Due to computer problems, I'm late visiting the haiku circle, but here I am - drinking from your words. Wonderful, poetical words. Oh, and you remind me of the wild strawberries that grow behind the tool shed, I should go there to see if there are some left for me too!
