HuMp DaY Haiku - Purple Tulips

A splash of purple.
Happy memories in bloom
eases grieving heart

I wonder if others have memories growing in their gardens?
These tulips were bought as a potted plant when we visited the Skagit Valley Tulip Festival the year my daughter turned 30. She visited for her birthday week, and we had a rainy tour of the tulip fields. We both loved the color and just had to have them.
Someone mentioned at the time that forced potted tulips rarely bloomed when planted in the garden. I beg to differ. These tulips have bloomed every year since. :)

Of course they've bloomed! What a beautiful tulip and a lovely haiku. It's so special to have plants that remind us of someone, whether it was given by that person or simply associated with them, like my daffodils.
