HuMp DaY Haiku - Blossoms

Ah, delightful spring!
Colorful emerging leaves
Blossom scented air

Top picture is from my garden, "sand cherry" in red back-dropped by the honeysuckle. Bottom is apple blossoms from Christiansons Nursery in Skagit Valley.

I started doing Hump Day Haiku with Carla Sonheim's Silly classes...  and decided as a challenge for myself, I'd continue.  In this process, I have found that creating a haiku (non rhyming poem with 5 - 7 - 5 syllables per line) feeds my soul.
I especially like creating them to go with my photos and art.

Excellent Helen. You and Kim have a way with words. We have honeysuckle as well. It so reminds me of my dad. He loved it and also Jasmine. We have a jasmine arch in the front. I'll take a pic and post it next week. Love your Haiku! Have a wonderful day.

Hi Helen. Love your Haiku and I left another comment. I think I pasted my Haiku page in one of your other posts by accident. Sorry about that.

Besides blossoms and lush growth all over the place, the birds are returning, singing, and courting. Goldfinch males spar briefly and one sat in the neighbor's tree yesterday singing his little heart out. I saw my first Black-headed Grosbeak at one of my feeders yesterday, too. I love spring! Happy, happy day!

Our Grosbeaks and finches as well as hummingbirds are back too! Love it.
