It began with a canvas textured with molding paste... I applied paint in a few layers to get to this point:
I added more paint, and created a mountain peak, then attempted a snowy mist blanketing.
Adding a whimsical tree, and bits of lace trim to the ground and as a star, and tiny beads as snow. Here is the finished piece:
