HuMp DaY Haiku - Sunshine in a pot

Sunshine in a pot!
Miniature daffodils
brighten wintry days

A gift from my husband a few weeks ago, when it was gray and gray and gray, these miniature daffodils are sitting on the old red carriage seat we have out on the deck. I can look out the kitchen window at their cheery little blooms.

The bulbs in the garden have yet to poke their little green heads up.. but soon. Soon.

I started doing Hump Day Haiku with Carla Sonheim's Silly classes...  and decided as a challenge for myself, I'd continue.  In this process, I have found that creating a haiku (non rhyming poem with 5 - 7 - 5 syllables per line) feeds my soul.
I especially like creating them to go with my photos

Would you like to share a haiku you have written?

Oh those daffodils are beautiful. Ours are starting to come up, out and away. I love them. How sweet of your hubby to shower you with them. Thanks for sharing. Love your Haiku, spot on.

Hi there. Happy Hump Day Haiku to you and all. Loved your Haiku, thought I'd drop mine off. Now it's off to the kitchen to finishing cooking. Take care.

Hi Helen, I love your photos when I visit your site. I also enjoyed your Haiku.
Not sure I'm doing this right, but here goes.

The forest pristine
brings solace to those who come
and they leave refreshed

A breath of air
In a forest primeval
can set a mind free.

See you Saturday. Lynn

Seeing the red bench tugged at my heart. I can visualize Mom or Dad sitting on it. And of course, daffodils never fail to remind me of Dad. How refreshing to see such color in this drab season of the year. Thank you.

The contrast between the yellow daffodils and the red coach seat is stunning!

I guess this means I'll be taking another trip over to Lynn's house. Love her haiku and yours.

Well, I hope I did this right. I think I'm getting the hang of it. I had fun writing about my brother and his family. I don't write much as a rule.
Talk with you soon. Thanks for inviting me. :O)
