Imagine

Imagine a world where tolerance, acceptance, and kindness was lived daily.

Imagine there's no countries
It isn't hard to do
Nothing to kill or die for
And no religion too
Imagine all the people living life in peace...

Imagine no possessions
I wonder if you can
No need for greed or hunger
A brotherhood of man
Imagine all the people sharing all the world...

You may say I'm a dreamer
But I'm not the only one
I hope some day you'll join us
And the world will be as one

A little bit of art

I took part in an art a-thon this past weekend, and actually got a bit of collage art done to trade with the other artists...

Our local artist trading card group meets the fourth Saturday of the month, and someone brought up angels as a group project. A couple of us made in another art group several years ago, and I'd actually come across the pattern last month during as studio
destash bout.  However we'd need to make one for each artist participating.
They were a bit time consuming (for me at least) so while I'm not sure I'd do the group trade,(10 - 12 is too many!) I'll probably make one or two.

This is the one I made several years ago in memory of my daughter.

Wishing you a wonderful weekend!

Cat Artist Trading Cards

Sharing some artist trading cards made for a swap on atcsforall.com. Theme is Purrrfect Cats. I spent last weekend with a group of artists I met on atcsforall. Online friends in person can be such fun. We're heart sisters. :) Anyway, Christine is hosting a swap, and I decided I had to join, helped along with some postage stamp cats from Cynthia. Two are using backgrounds I'd intended for a swap I'll have posted next week - recycled bits. They use tissue box as background, vintage text, used postage stamps and other images and papers.

Red Poppy

Red Poppy
Artist Trading Card

I love how this card turned out. It's an old shorthand book page layered with paper towel that had been used as a sop towel for a watercolor project. Added the poppy from a paper napkin and some beeswax. And loved it!

Happy Friday!
