Red Poppy

Red Poppy
Artist Trading Card

I love how this card turned out. It's an old shorthand book page layered with paper towel that had been used as a sop towel for a watercolor project. Added the poppy from a paper napkin and some beeswax. And loved it!

Happy Friday!

Work in Progress and a Giveaway!

I'm celebrating a couple of personal bests this month, and so I decided to host a give away!

All you need to do to enter is:
1) Be a follower of my blog, and leave a comment on this post
and/or
2) Like my Facebook page and comment there that you wish to be in the drawing.

Doing both gives you two chances to win! Remember to leave a way for me to contact you. Winner will be announced October 25th.

A peek at one of the several pieces I have in various stages of completion...
Unnamed work in progress... more detail work to be done.

Oh, yes! What am I giving away? The winner will receive a 5 x 7 print of my painting "Echinacea Trio", which will be matted to fit an 8 x 10 frame.
