I played with Carla Sonheim's Imaginary Animals technique. It needs more shading...
And I started a textured landscape canvas painting, using acrylics. This 5 x 5 x 2 inches, and is embedded with dried lavender buds. After the first applications of paint, I can see I'm going to need to do a lot more "poking" of the brush into the crevices. :)
I've determined that I have too many things going on all at once. No wonder I'm feeling a bit scattered. :)

I like your pieces Helen. I like the way you've embedded the buds. All are wonderful and like you said, you have many things going on, good things. Thanks for sharing. Happy PPF!
I love what you're doing with doodles unleashed. I haven't even been paying attention to Strathmore.
The landscape reminds me of a field where a flock of birds have just flown up and out of their hiding places, spooked by something, an animal or maybe you or I.
It is beautiful!
I live scattered, but isn't it fun (once it's done!) lol I love all the pieces, specially the doodle with all the patterns, so much fun!
I think it's ok to be scattered, but maybe keep it down to 5 or 6 or you may not get them completed, but you know, maybe they don't have to be anyway, it's all looking good & like you're having fun too!
My comment didn't work earlier...but...love your work...that dog reminds me of a very famous clothing range that has awesome attention on it here in Australia...mambo...very cool work...xxx
I feel that way too when I have lots of in progress. I love how different each piece of yours. Looking forward to seeing you lavender bud piece as it progresses.
I love the dog. That's so funny!

Scattered? Creative! Great assortment of paintings!
I am in awe of all of the different ways you can create. You may feel scattered but the pieces you created are all awesome. I love the dog!
that is a seriously cool idea to paint over the lavender buds. I love the way that looks. the traci bautista class was so much fun and i've loved seeing the way so many different people have interpreted it!
Looking at your doodles, it seems like you are waiting for Spring! Traci's class must be a lot of fun.
Carla is one of my inspirations! Love your dog.

I think it's cool with all the variety, but also stressful, if you loose your focus. Anyway, your work looks fun and interesting! <3
what a great. divetse selection of work you have going on! i especially likethedog and will need to find out mote about the imaginary animal thing-it sounds like fun!
Love the pieces you have made! Valerie
Lovely works. How nice to use lavender blossoms! Are there enough in there for the aroma to be there too?
its great having lots of things at once - neat imaginary animals!
Beautiful..such gorgeous pieces...wonderful work!

I love the rich colors in your doodles. I think it turns your doodles into more than "just doodles" if that makes sense. I'm a huge fan of doodling. I'm also famous for having about 10 different pieces going at once. So I see no need for you to change a thing!!
Love, love, love the doodles! and that lavender piece is awesome.
Happy PPF!!
Helen these are great. I really like art that brings a smile to my face your does.

The Doodles are excellent. . many of us have more than one painting in the wings, don't think of it as scattered. . . the pups looks like fun and I look forward to see how the landscape turns out. Blessings, Janet PPF
