Low sun in winter
creates a longer shadow
of my favorite tree
Recent trip to Marine Park in Fairhaven (Bellingham) on a sunny day. The sun was not in a good position to get a decent picture of my favorite tree, however it was casting long shadows. There were many crows about that day, and this one flew by as I was snapping pictures.
I started doing Hump Day Haiku with Carla Sonheim's Silly classes... and decided as a challenge for myself, I'd continue. In this process, I have found that creating a haiku to go with my photos feeds my soul.
Perhaps you'd like to share a haiku you have written?

Hi Helen, thought I would join you once again. Happy New Year to you.
I met this tree and a woman who walks the beach and rr tracks picking up other people's garbage. And a nice "older" (my age) man who was quite talkative. I parked in the wrong lot initially. A bit confusing. Much quieter than blvd. park. I'll have to return for another "shoot." Like your haiku.
Happy New Year Helen. The park looks like a wonderful place. Your Haiku is awesome!
I love this photo of your tree. I had no idea it was going to shed its leaves. Great haiku! Sorry I forgot to play along.
Yay! Hump Day Haiku!
I just love what you're doing--
Keep up the good work!
