One week!

I'm almost ready to go! You believe that, don't you? Ha!

No new paintings to show this week, as I've been busy putting prints and paintings in mats and frames and pricing things for next weeks set up and opening of the craft show. Oh, and tweaking how the booth will be set up.

I will show you a couple of the original pieces that will be available at the Holiday Festival:

Autumn Mountain 8x8 wrapped canvas

Grateful Heart Wren 4x4 wrapped canvas

Looking forward to checking out what you have all been up to this past week.

Happy Friday!

What's in My Studio

Did you vote today? We have mail in ballots in our county, and there are times it's cool. I actually voted quite awhile ago and dropped the ballot off at the Courthouse. There are times, however, I miss going and standing in line awaiting my turn to vote. But not this time.

I'm still busy prepping for the upcoming Holiday Festival of the Arts, a six week local Artisans show. We set up a week from today. O.o
I still didn't get as much done ahead of time as I wished... but my booth will be sufficiently filled. :)

For my WOYWW friends, here's a peek at what will be included in my booth... which is right now spread all over my studio. Well, some things are tidily in boxes ready for their price tags. This is what's currently on the work surface.
Adding the "shaved ice" sparkles and ribbons.

I'm making use of the clothes-hanging rack for these finished and ready to price canvas ornaments. Laundry "closet" is right next to my studio/previous family room. Quite handy on occasion. :)

I spent some time this morning replenishing my die cut hearts and stars... and other things not shown in the photo. :)

What have you been up to this week?

Just Ducky!

Still time to enter the Giveaway, click here.

From my archives... an Artist Trading Card watercolor painting I created of a Mama Duck and her baby. I came across it while cleaning up and storing digital files and it made me smile. An aside... I really really really wanna take a water color class. Perhaps in the spring.

Still working like a crazy thing on filling my booth at the Allied Arts Holiday Festival of the Arts. We start set up in less than a month... EEK! :)

I don't seem to get as much done early on as I wish. I've done a lot of planning and getting materials and getting started, but getting to the finalizing of all the "inventory" so it's ready to price is another thing. I have so many things nearly finished....
Add into that keeping my two Etsy shops stocked for the holidays, and sheesh! Anyone have advice on setting a yearly work schedule for the holiday season, and how to stick to it? LOL!

On another note, I'm gathering with out of town artist friends for the weekend starting Friday afternoon, and am SO EXCITED! They always inspire me and get my creative juices flowing.

Hope your weekend goes well!

What's in my Studio...

A mess! I have too many projects in the works, and so many ideas I haven't yet put into place. Working like crazy getting ready for the Holiday Shows and not enough time to get photographs of what is completed.  :)

Lots of small canvas and prep work for paintings

The close work section with good lighting - very messy right now!

At least the watercolor table isn't quite as messy...  :)

More Abstract Flowers

I'm on an abstract flower kick right now... they are a bit addicting. Here's a bit of what was finished, or mostly finished or still in the works this week:
Abstract sunflower 5 x 7

Sunflower in Green Mat 3 x 4

Two Echinacea Paintings in progress

As an aside, I would like to say thank you to Sean Freeman at Einstein Design for helping me make my logo a reality. I met him at The Smartest Artist Collaberative Group on Facebook, and he is fabulous to work with! Thank you, Sean! You rock!
