In the numbness of despair, what I can do is to fight for justice and acceptance; to do all I can to make sure those hard fought for freedoms are protected for all Americans, and all humankind.
God help us all.
Lord, make me an instrument of Your peace.
Where there is hatred, let me sow love;
where there is injury, pardon;
where there is doubt, faith;
where there is despair, hope;
where there is darkness, light;
where there is sadness, joy.
St. Francis of Assisi

Beautiful piece and so appropriate. Violence is not the American way.
I can only say Amen to that, we are all in shock over this terrible decision, The USA and the whole of the world really need God's blessing now. God save us all from Trump and all who support him and his inhuman ideas and plans. Hugs, Valerie
I couldn't agree more with your thoughtful words. Perfect prayer too. Happy PPF!
Lovely photo and post ~
Hoping for the best as I and MA are not happy with the results of the election ~ makes no sense unless this is the 'dumbing down of America' written about a few years ago ~
Wishing you a peaceful week ~ ^_^
I agree. What a society it is right now, so divided. It is scary. Lets hope we can heal and move forward and this new president elect leads the people together, not more of this campaign hatred. Happy PPF!
A timely reminder for us all
Beautiful.
Lovely verse and picture. The good thing is we can build peacefully by reaching out to those who are so upset. Violence is something I've not understood as a means to change. Thankfully we can pray and do something positive for others going forward.
