I went looking for fall color from the big old trees at the cemetery today, and came across this beautiful tree. While wandering about getting close up shots, a funny shaped leaf caught my eye...
I've never seen brown mushrooms quite this these before. They were all over in the grass, mixed in with the yellow and brown leaves.
It's serendipity!
Among the brown and yellow leaves
a random mushroom heart

Macro shots get us to look closely and we see what we might otherwise miss.
Nice little surprises under your feet!
Do you know if they are edible? Anyways, a great find!

Interesting macros! The brown mushroom is a most unusual colour! Amazing what can be found when out walking with a camera!
The mushroom fits in perfectly with the tree and all of the fall leaves on the ground. Your captures are filled with lovely color and textures. Nice work. genie
Wonderful shots. The leaves and mushrooms blend beautifully together. How fun to have found a heartshaped mushroom. #27 found a heart in a leaf. - Great finds.
Gorgeous!!
