Works in Progress

Working on a few things this week, and must say it feels good to be in the studio.

This is a torn paper kitten in progress - as part of a swap hosted by my friend Martha on atcsforall.com. This will be placed on a 4 x 4 chunky page when done... which will be this afternoon.

These are small 3 x 3 canvases that need some tinting and will have an inspiring phrase or word when completed.
The piece on the far right is a torn paper background on canvas panel that just got a layer of old pattern tissue. I'll attack with the paints next. :)

I'm looking forward to next week as my husband will be gone for a few days and I'll be alone in the house and can hang out in the studio without feeling like I'm neglecting things.
I don't know why, but I can get more done when he's not in the house... odd as that may seem.
Anyway, I'm behind on what I wanted to have done for the Holiday Shows, and should be able to get a lot done while I'm "home alone".

I hope your week has been creative!   Happy Friday!

Am sure you will enjoy the freedom to paint whenever you like without feeling guilty. Love the way the cat is shaping up and your new canvases. Happy PPF, Annette x

Enjoy your home alone time.:) Look forward to seeing the end results. Truly, I haven't really been doing much of the art work. A piece here and there but I'm finding that I'm "falling" out of the phase for now. Hopefully I will get back into it. Have a great weekend and thx for stopping by my PPF post.

Wonderful small canvas works on easels! I can always accomplish more without all the interruptions that the family provides! The best working time is when I go out of town to paint en plein air! No one to feed or clean up after, but myself. I can get three and four paintings done a day when left to my own devices :)
